a month ago, local initiates conceived plans for a video seminar to
share Master's teachings at the California State University at Fresno
on June 23, 2001. In early June, Fresno disciples invited Master to
grace the seminar when they saw Her in Orlando, Florida. Shortly before
the event, the delightful news came that Master would personally attend
and give a live lecture. The greatly encouraged initiates worked in
high spirits, while an overflow of seating requests led to a change
of venue to the Fresno Convention Center. Many disciples from Northern
and Southern California arrived to help with the preparation work. Initiates
from Central and South America also joined the working teams because
of the large population of Spanish-speaking residents in Fresno.
June
23 was a beautiful, sunny day. Master's posters in downtown Fresno welcomed
and guided the audience all the way to the Convention Center. The exhibition
hall shone with a resplendent display of Master's artistic creations,
including Celestial Clothes and Jewelry, paintings, and Longevity Lamps.
In the computer booth adjacent to the audiovisual and print publications
area, initiates presented a live demonstration of Internet surfing and
ways to access spiritual information from the Quan Yin websites.
