If we keep reminding ourselves of what we have done for others, we will
be merely doing business transactions like the worldly merchants, and
not truly giving selflessly.
當一個人開悟，重新發現自己的偉大和內在的榮耀之後，他便永遠滿足了，那是修改我們缺點、滿足我們慾望的最好方法。
When a person is enlightened, he rediscovers his own greatness and inner
glory, and he will be satisfied forever. This is the best way to improve
our shortcomings and satisfy our desires.
我們一秒分身口意乾淨的話，天使、天龍八部、護法統統都擁護我們，那個剎那，全宇宙都是我們的、都擁護我們，準備好王位給我們上去坐。
When we are pure in our deeds, speech and thoughts, even for a second,
all the deities, the gods and the guardian angels will support us. At
that moment, the entire universe belongs to us and supports us, and the
throne is there for us to reign upon.
沒錯，我們應該很用功修行，不過也應該沒有分別心，不要執著在某一個樣子才好。因為真正重要的是我們的誠心，不是外表。
Certainly, we must practice diligently, but we shouldn't be attached to
discrimination. We shouldn't be too stubborn in trying to be a certain
person, for what is important is our sincerity, not our appearance.
看我們的行為傷害什麼人，傷什麼人的心，對什麼人不好，對自己怎麼障礙，那個比我們看別人的好壞還重要。
It is more important to consider whom our actions might harm, whose feelings
we might hurt, what is bad for others, or what obstacles we might create
for ourselves, than to judge the good and bad qualities of others.
我們應該從許多痛苦、冤枉及悲哀的情況中被訓練，然後突破，這樣我們才真正解脫。(p100)
We must be trained under the circumstances of pain, injustice and misery.

If we have a small ego and a willingness to sacrifice, if we don't care
about whether others praise or approve us or not, then the power of temptation
will not affect us so much, and we will not fall so easily under trials.

The Quan Yin Method is also a kind of martial art. With this martial art

That's the best way to get rid of enemies, to make them feel very touched,

After enlightenment we don't want anything. We may have a lot of money,
but we don't care for it. We might have a very big house, a nice house,
but we don't feel attached to the house. So that is freedom in this life.
That is liberation.
有愛，但不因擁有愛而驕慢；布施，但不求功德回報。(p103)
We have love, but no arrogance arises from it; we give, but no return

做事要有邏輯、細心和愛心，如果做事太隨便的話，後果當然很隨便。
We must work with logic, attentiveness and loving care. If we perform

Precepts are there to protect people, not to be protected by people. Because
they are established to maintain peace and harmony in our society, we
must also consider the circumstances when we follow the precepts.

如果我們還生氣別人，還需要別人的陪伴，或是需要別人配合我們每次的心情和意見，我們還是在我執裡面，因為我執讓我們感覺到跟別人隔開。
If we still get angry at others, still need others' company, or still
need others to comply with our moodiness and opinions, then we are still
within our own egos, because our egos make us feel separated from others.
我們不知道業障什麼時候會來，它總是在你毫無防備的情況下，突然降臨。所以必須隨時照顧好自己的身、口、意，不忘記與內在萬能的力量溝通，提昇自己的等級，當業障來臨時，我們才有足夠的智慧、力量去克服。
We never know when the retribution of our negative karma will come back
to us. It always descends upon us suddenly, and when it is least expected.
Therefore, we must take good care of our actions, speech and thoughts
at all times, and remember to connect with the Almighty Power within in
order to raise our level of consciousness. Then, when the negative karma
comes, we will have enough wisdom and power to overcome it.
「原諒」比「責罰」來得容易多了，因為你不用再去想那件事，而且那個人也會快樂，不會再給你壓力。
It's easier to forgive than to punish. It's easier because you don't have
to think about it any more, and that person is happy and doesn't gives
you any more pressure.

Gentleness always defeats toughness in this world; the more tender, formless

我們如果要得到一位明師的智慧或是她的愛力，我們不能太複雜，我們應該要一心不亂才能得到。
If we want to receive the wisdom or love of an enlightened master, we
should not be too complicated; we must be single minded in order to receive.
不要成懊惱佛，每次應該笑嘻嘻，應該樂觀。勉強自己樂觀起來，等一下真的會樂觀。假如我們不勉強自己，誰能勉強我們？我們不用功拉自己上來，沒有人會幫忙。
Don't become a sulky Buddha; always be cheerful, be optimistic. If we
force ourselves to be optimistic, eventually we will become optimistic.
Who can force us other than ourselves? Unless we compel ourselves to advance,
no one else can help us.

我們隨時都要靠自己，真正要坦白、要修行，為了真的要解脫這個苦海，
為了要多了解宇宙的情況。
We should, at all times, rely on ourselves, be truly frank, and practice,
for the
sake of being liberated from "this sea of misery" for the sake
of enriching our knowledge of the universe.
擁有什麼並不重要，能否知足才重要，任何情況都能滿足，就不會有問題。(p111)
Possession is not important, contentedness is. Be contented in any situation,
and problems will be kept away.(p111)
我們自己造煩惱，所以每天痛苦，我們把學習的功課變成我們的刑罰，才那麼痛苦。師父教你們一個很簡單脫離苦海的方法－把痛苦的情況變成我們的功課，就像在學校學習一樣。(p112)
We create worries ourselves, that's why we are miserable every day. We
turn lessons into punishments, that's why we are so unhappy. Master will

真正尊重自己的人，也很尊重其他的人。他知道自己的價值在那裡，也知道人家的價值在那裡，那種人很好、很自信，但是不自滿。
He who truly respects himself will also respect others. He knows his own
worthiness, just as he does others. This kind of person is fine, very
confident, and never complacent.
忍辱是什麼呢？就是不管怎麼樣，都認清是自己的因果，不是別人的錯。(p108)
What is meant by "enduring insults"? It means to be able to
see clearly, in whatever situation, that it is our own karma, and not

Whether a person is good or bad should only be judged by his purpose

Do not find excuses to spoil your physical body. The more we indulge ourselves,

more we develop this sentiment, the easier it is for us to sink into the
cycle of birth and death.

幫助別人就是幫助自己，所以我們應該時時刻刻淨化意念，送出無條件的愛心和善意，而不求任何回報，這是最好的方法。
To help others is to help ourselves. We should try to purify our mind

The best idea is having no idea at all. Therefore, recite the five names
silently is enough. This is the best idea. The five names are neutral,

由於每天經由打坐，來自上帝的強大善良力量，可以沖淡甚至完全消化任何
傷害我們身心的訊息，這就是不能不打坐，不能不讀聖典的原因。
Through meditating everyday, the mighty benign power form God can moderate
or even completely digest any information harmful to our body and mind.
This is why we must not stop meditating and studying the holy scriptures.
真正的快樂並非來自世俗的高地位，也非來自書本的知識、社會地位或財富
多寡；真正的快樂唯有從自我的了悟及開悟中獲得。
True happiness do not come from the high positions of the world, from
the knowledge that we gain from books or society, or from the position
that we have, but true happiness can only be attained through self-realization,
with enlightenment.
開悟後，我們也許會流淚，但不會悲傷；我們也許會笑得很痛快，但我們不
留戀這物質世界轉瞬即逝的快樂。
After enlightenment we might shed tears but we are not miserable. We might
laugh very heartily but we will not be attached to the flitting happiness
which the material world offers to us.
開悟後，我們喜愛事物卻沒有佔有慾；我們同情別人卻不束縛別人，這才是
真正的快樂。
After enlightenment we enjoy things but we do not possess them, we sympathize
with people but we do not bind them to us. This is then the true happiness.

Sharing, it's just like planting more seeds, and then it will grow more,

As spiritual practitioners, we should use the same kind of concentration
as when we practice, no matter what kind of situation we are in, painful
or joyful. Forgetting about ourselves, the worldly temptation and any
other different situations, we should know that we do everything for God.
我們越想到上帝，我們越輕鬆，想跟沒想一樣，因為跟祂融化在一起了，那個時候才叫做行、住、坐、臥都是禪，那個時候我們就成道了。
The more we think of God, the more relaxed we will be. It is like thinking
and not thinking are the same, because we and God have become "One".
At that moment, we are in a state of "Zen", even when we are
walking, living, sitting, and sleeping. At that time, we have attained
the Truth.
如果我們現在有一些兇惡的品質，也不用責怪自己，改就好了。如果不改的話，不管是什麼原因，對我們都是不利的。
If now we have some vicious quality, we don't need to blame ourselves
anymore. Just correct it. Because if we don't correct it, it is not good
for us, regardless of the reason.
任何世界上的罪惡，都是讓我們學習的一種功課。任何世界的貪、瞋、痴的存在是因為我們找不到真正的寶藏，我們才渴望，我們才東跑西跑，感覺到好像失去什麼東西，第

Any evil in this world is a kind of lesson for us to learn. Any worldly
greed, anger and attachment are there because we can not find the real
treasure. As a result of that, we are longing for something. We wander
around, feeling as if we have lost something, hoping that one day we can
discover that "something". Therefore, greed, anger and attachment
are all buddhi and so is all worrying.
有的時候我們有痛苦、有病、有麻煩，我們以為這是業障，不過我們應該知道，這也是隱藏的福報。
Sometimes, we experience suffering, illness and trouble, we think all
these are karma. However, we should realize that they are blessings in
disguise too.
乾淨的品質，去那裡就會把那個地方自然變乾淨、漂亮、像神仙的境界。所以乾淨的品質，就是聖人的品質。(p116)
A clean quality will naturally make a place become clean, beautiful and

I do not need you to do any work for me. I need you to understand yourselves.
Only then you can organize yourselves. Only then you can be more humble,
to have a longing to learn and a longing to change yourselves to be good.

You have to reprogram your thought, reform your action. Otherwise, even
if you have wisdom, Master's blessings and the strength to make it be
successful, you will still be timid and worry, and think that you cannot
do it because of your old habits.
民主是指我們要尊重每個人，不過有才智的人仍須作下決策，而有權力的人則須為眾人作執行的工作。
Democracy means that we have to respect to every person. However, those
who have talents and wisdom still need to make decisions, and those who
are in power need to work for the public.
做任何事都要上帝加持才行，我們愈明白這一點，就愈謙卑，愈感激上帝，我執才愈減少。
We can succeed in anything we do only with God's blessing. The more we
understand this, the more we will be humble, be grateful to God and our
ego will diminish.

Only true wisdom is what we can rely on most, not worldly position or

no one can tell us. Even though we know, but if we are too stubborn or
too lazy to change, or too concerned about our image to admit and correct
the fault, then it will bring a lot of trouble.
自古以來，任何的大修行人，或是大君王、大丈夫，都是從耐心訓練出來的，他們不是一朝就功成名就。所以我們有困難的時候，要感激造化、佛祖給我們機會訓練自己的耐心。
Since ancient times, all great spiritual practitioners, great kings, and
great men have succeeded through perseverance. They did not succeed in
an instant. Therefore, when we encounter difficulties, we ought to thank
the Creator, God Almighty for giving us the opportunity to discipline
our patience.
我們在那一種情況中，都要找好的地方、看樂觀的一面，不要挖毛蟲。我們轉換不好的情況，變它成為對我們有利益的方面。
No matter what situation we are in, we must look on the bright side. Look
at the optimistic side. Don't pick on the little things. We should turn
the undesirable situation into one that will benefit us.
即使我們住在不自由的地方，不過我們心很快樂、很滿足，獲得自己內在快樂的泉源，那我們就是自在的人。
Even though we live in a place where there is no freedom, but if our hearts
are filled with happiness and satisfaction, obtaining the inner source
of happiness, then we are truly free.

There is a kind of freedom, which, once we have obtained, no one can tempt
away from us nor can anyone destroy it. This kind of spiritual freedom

of freedom, even if our bodies are confined or tortured, our spirits will
