The Supreme Master Ching Hai then painted the fans with Her usual creative spontaneity. One by one, the delicately colored fans, so vibrant and yet steeped in profound messages of Zen, materialized before us. The fans looked as though they had been embroidered, and each had its own distinctive style and expression.
