Appreciate Life Start With Enlightenment

Spoken By The Supreme Master Ching Hai InColorado, USA

(Originally in English)

The Real HomelandOf The Soul

How is everyone? Still recognize mefrom last time? Isthere anyone from last time? Please raiseyour hand. (Some ofthe audience rise their hands.) Oh! Fine! So, I don't have tostart from scratch. No?! Is this stillvery early for you? (Audience: No!) No, ha? You don't worktoday? (Audience: No.) Oh, fine. And I have to work.

I had a lot of inspiration about what Godis, and how tobetter our world, and how to better ourselves, and how to be insamadhi, etc,.. but I lost them all whenI came to Colorado. Iguess because Colorado people are very spiritual, and theenvironment here, it looks like Himalayas. So, I thought all ofyou are yogis, (laughter) yes. So, you don'tneed to prove thatto me by any funny gestures, okay, or mudrasor anything. (Master laughed.)

This is one of the places that I might considerto stay, andmake myself at home. Consider only! Ha,Consider (Masterand everyone laughed.), because I have manyother people who consider that I should stay at their hometown. And I can neverwin because I am alone, and there are somany people.

But today maybe I would like to take someof your time tointroduce you to our real hometown , ormaybe invite you to havea look at it.

Many people believe that God creates onlygoodness. And thenother people believe that God creates alsoevil, because they sayeverything comes from God. Ah, what do youagree? The first oneor the second? (The first one) Ah? Thefirst one. Right? Thenwhere does evil come from? Ah? (Audience:Image.) Image? (Humans) Ah, humans. Oh, so you're veryenlightened indeed. (Master laughs.)

You see this place which is called our world,it's not theoriginal plan of the universe. And it hasbecome this and that andothers, with all kinds of suffering and allkinds of undesirablesituations, because of the by-products ofhumans and other beings'inter-relationships. If evil has truly existed, then it couldn'thave changed from one place after another,or from one country tothe other, or from one period of time tothe other.

Humans Can Stop Evil

As you see, in the old time, we didnot have guns, and we didnot have atom bombs and all kinds of thesethings which coulddestroy mankind in no time. So, actuallythe evils that exist inthis world are not God-made. It was notalready there. Therefore,it changes from time to time, and from differentcountries, yes.

Why were we talking about this? Becausewe must realize thatif evil is man-made, then man can also stopit or avoid it, insteadof blaming God all the time, or waiting ina corner of the churchfor God to descend and do something aboutit.

For example, between I and Mr. Smith, whoeverthat might be,we never met each other and nothing happenedbetween us. Andsuddenly someday Mr. Smith came to see me,or I came to see him. Suppose we are both very ignorant and then,we both wanted to dosomething. We both wanted to arrive at aposition which is verylucrative and profitable and famous and allthat for ourselves. Then both of us are in competition aboutthat object. And then ifone of us wins, of course the other willfeel very frustrated. Andif he is a bad tempered man, he might tryto revenge in some kind,or make trouble for me. And therefore, inthis process we breedanother kind of atmosphere between us andapart from us.

Originally both of us had no hatred and then, now we havehatred. And that hatred is the third energywhich is born fromboth of our energies. So, you see, thisis not necessary. Itwasn't there in the first place. If we cometo think about it likethat, we couldn't blame God for anythingthat is unfortunate inthis world. Most of the people think Godhas made everythingincluding evil. I used to think that way.But I think, as I amgetting older, and you know I have more sympathyfor the Old Man. You get more understanding, you know, forold people as you growolder. (Master laughs.)

Yes, it's just like you and your wife orhusband. Normallyboth of you have no children. But then, you got together, and thenthe third kind was born. Those are yourchildren. And yourchildren may be exactly like you in character,in intelligence andin ambition or virtues. But, they mightnot be. And they mightcause you a lot of trouble and headaches. So, these are not yourmaking, not entirely. Maybe some of it isyour making. But, ifyou are very virtuous parents, and very exemplary, and yourchildren are the opposite, then it is notyour making.

Similarly, our world has become, sometimes, intolerable. Itis our own making. So now, in order to improvethis or repair theworld, or the house, the big house that welive in, with so manyrooms which are the nations, then we shouldknow that evil isavoidable. Evil is avoided by doing good,by keeping thecommandments, by loving thy neighbors. Butbecause our mind is soused to an eye for an eye, a tooth for atooth, it is difficult todo what we think we ought to do, or to treatothers in a veryloving, kind way. Therefore, we need a strongerforce to help us,to pull us out of our habitual thinking andactions.

That is why enlightenment is necessary. It is just like awoman who is already very beautiful, andif she dresses herself up,and wears a little bit more jewelry, andlearns to walk in agraceful way, then her beauty is more enhanced.

Everything In This World Is Beneficial ToUs

Everything in this world is actuallyalso good for us, evenevil. Evil is our mistakes, fine. But,then we don't have to stayin the mistakes forever. At least the mistakesare a kind ofshock. When we receive the effect of ourmistakes, we will beshocked into realizing that this is not aproper thing to do. Andthey cause us misery and unhappiness, therefore,we turn around. And even all things in this world which arebeautiful, enjoyable, are reminding us of our true happiness within,or in our true home.

Therefore, it's not a sin to enjoy thethings that God createdfor us. But if we always feel very attachedto these things, andGod will remind us that this is not proper. And therefore, we willsometimes experience unhappiness, or miseryfrom the things that wecherish most.

It is wrong to deny the world. But it isnot right to sinkdeep into the world all the time. Becausewe miss the better halfof life which is spirit, which is more enjoyablethan anything inthis world could afford. Everything in thisworld is just areminder of the true happiness, the trueglory and the true lifethat we should have, and that we should know, because we haveforgotten.

Many people ask me about a kind of womanand man relationshipand sexual pleasure and that. Whether itis sinful. I say: It isnot. But you should know there are manymore pleasures than that. And for example, sexual pleasure is onlya copy of the truepleasure when you are in union with yourself, when both forceswithin you, the feminine and the masculineaspects within yourselfare united. And the union between man andwoman is just aduplicate of that one.

So, actually God sends us into this worldnot without anyinstruments to remind us of the Kingdom ofGod. It is just that wehave forgotten that these are the remindersonly, and we just lovethe copy and forget the original. And that'swhat makes our lifemiserable. And even then, we could not enjoythe copy completely.

Therefore, many of the man and womanrelationships even, arerocky, and the sexual relationship betweenyou is not that holy, not that mutually respecting. But it's akind of sometimesabusing, and just a frustration release;a kind of instrument.

Therefore, if we truly want to enjoy thislife even, weshould enjoy the true life which is a hundredthousand times betterthan the life that we know on earth. Andby knowing that life, wecan also enjoy this life.

More Intense Feelings Toward Things After Enlightenment

Just like one of our friends just expressedher opinion-thatafter initiation or enlightenment she enjoyedlife also. She wouldfeel whatever is there, in very intense awareness. And when youare happy, you are truly happy. And youhave no reservations foryour laughter. You are not constrained andnot feeling ashamed forlaughing very loud, very heartedly with yourfriends, or evenalone. And when you feel sorrow, you trulycan weep. You weep allof your emotions out, and then you get relief. Not that afterenlightenment we become like wood or stone, and have no feelingswhatsoever.

Some people keep asking me whether I fallin love sometimes. Are you interested, by the way? No, ha!If not, I don't talkabout that. It is private. Are you interested?(Audience: Yes.) Okay, okay. I thought it was too personal. You come here to talkabout Buddhahood and God and all that. Andhere I bring thingswhich sound very mundane, yeah. Never mind.

You see, and I say yes, yeah, off and on,now and again. Ormaybe I don't know if that is falling inlove or not. Well, whenI see a person probably I like him, and thenafter he is gone,good-bye. Is that in love or not? Steve, you have moreexperience. (Laughter.) Is that fallingin love, Steve? (Yes.) Yes? Really! Okay! But not in Coloradothough. I haven't...okay.

But before that, before enlightenment, Ididn't know this kindof feeling. You understand? I never missedanyone. I didn't loveanyone. I didn't care about anyone. I didnot enjoy thefriendship with the people. I was a verylonely child, very quiet. I did not feel lonely though. I was justa very alone person, until now, until I was forced into this job.(Laughter.) I was avery quiet person. I could not talk. Imean I didn't speak. Ididn't make friends. I enjoyed myself. I felt I needed nothing. And you know what it's like in our society. You work and then onemonth a year, you have a vacation, right?!Even if you don't wantto, you have to. It's the law.

So, when I was alone there, I wasn't marriedthen. And then, this forced one-month vacation was the timeI had trouble. Ididn't know what to do, because I had nofriends and there was nowhere I wished to go. But you had to gobecause if you didn't comeback with a tan, people would not respectyou that much. So, youcome, you spend all your money and go toCosta Bravo or whatever. And laying there, bake yourself to death, spend all your time inthe sun, and get burnt, get peeled, get scorched, and do whateveryou can with the cream and all that to comfortyourself.

And then go home, to show people, Here Iam . Yeah, fromCosta Bravo, cost a bomb , cost a lot ofmoney . [Laughter] Yes, so that was the kind of life that Ihad. Probably some of youexperienced the same up to now.

And then, after I became, you know, the "MainBro" in this'office', I became more talkative. I changed,I became an entirelydifferent person than if you knew me before.Might have been five, six, seven years ago, you wouldn't recognizeme now.

When I was married, and my husband had alot of friends fromhis medical doctors' circle. And they talkeda lot to him aboutmany things, yes. And also they talked onphone a lot. But Ihardly could speak anything to him. Andsometimes I stood aroundand felt very envious with these friends.I said, Jeez, if Icould just talk half of the time like them,I would feel alreadyvery good. I felt a little bit inadequatebecause I couldn'tspeak. I mean, I am not a talkative person.I'm always quiet, domy job, and have feelings, but nothing more.

And even the love for my husband, I don'tknow it was a loveor not. Well, I missed him when he was away. And I was happy whenhe was around. But that was it, that wasjust about it. It wasnot very kind of passionate thing that youread about in a novelromance or watch movies, things like that.I thought, oh, lookslike I am not the person of this world, don'tbelong here. The Fabulous Network Leading To God

But after enlightenment, you feel thatyour feelings and youremotions and your affections, and your...everything are verysharp. You know, you realize more that youare truly living beings. Many people fear that maybe after enlightenmentthey would shavetheir head, and yeah, cast off their beautifulclothes, and go intothe Himalayas, or find a cave in Coloradosomewhere. But it is nottrue, it is not true. Maybe you do thatin the beginning becauseyou are too fanatic, too eager, too eagerto know God, andforgetting all the while that He is alwayshere.

Because you are God, you are the representativesof this Godpower, and we are all connected togetherin this marvelous network. And should we forget that, we will be verylonely. Deep in ourheart we will never be satisfied. Doesn'tmatter how many friendswe have, and how much money we earn, or howbusy we are. Many ofthe moments of our lives will be in loneliness, dissatisfaction.

We just don't know what is it that is lackingin our lives. So we do feel something missing. That isbecause we have forgottento tune in with this network which connectsus as the whole, withthe whole universe. And therefore, whateverwe do, we do alone. We work alone and we feel great burden onour shoulders.

That's why Emerson says: A great burdenfalls from ourshoulders when we let God run the universe. To let God run theuniverse doesn't mean we sit there and waitfor bread to fall fromthe sky. It means that we work togetherwith the whole universe. And whatever we do, it will be blessed, watchedover, and helped bythe whole power. Therefore, we will be thegreat beings.

And everything within us including so-calledhuman emotionswill be very alert. We feel for the firsttime in our lives thatwe are truly alive, that we truly enjoy everythingthat God givesus in this life. Not the denial of the world. Not truly. Notlike that. I don't think an enlightenedperson is so negative inhis attitude. Because I feel, and I see,and I know that my fellowinitiates, people - you can call them disciple, that's your word, yeah - they are very alive, they are veryalert, and they arehappy. They know that life is alright.

Eh, not that all of them are. Very seldomthat they want torun away from life. Maybe in the beginningbecause before I usedto wear nun's clothes, and looked very serious. So people thoughtto be serious and become a monk is the endto all means ofBuddhahood.

Enlightenment Solves All Problems

After I realized that, I changed becausethat was a wrongconception. It's okay I wear the clothesif I want to. But thatis not the leading motive of enlightenment. That is not thecondition for enlightenment.

Enlightened people are very happy. Andthey accept thesituation whatever it is. And I have a verypositive knowledgethat if all people are enlightened, thenwe don't need to changethe world at all. We don't need to makeIndia become rich, wedon't need to change communism into capitalism, because everyonewill be contented under whichever circumstancesthey are in.

And we don't have to change anything. Wedon't need to evenvote for a new president every four years. And Mr. Clinton canstay there forever, (laughter) whether heis good or not, becausewe are good. That is important. You see,one president howevergood can not do much. But the whole nationis strong when peoplein that nation are altogether, at oneness, because of theconnecting network. And the whole worldis altogether in unison because they're all connected with that network. And then, thepresident cannot help himself but to be good.He has to behave, right. I don't mean Mr. Clinton, pleasedon't tell him. He mightnot give me visa next time. (Master andeveryone laughed.)

So the problems in this world are not tobe blamed onpoliticians, not to be blamed on the economicsystem of any countryor any ism of any nation, but to be blamedon the ignorance ofour self-nature. That we do not know howgreat we are, that we donot know that we are the contentment incarnate, that we do not knowthat we are love personified. Therefore, enlightenment is a curefor all illnesses, for all worldly problems, for all wars, and isonce and for all finished! And as long asall of us areenlightened, the world will never come toan end.

Everybody predicts about the end of the world.I mean noteverybody, everybody worries about it, justsome people predict, and make many people worry. But even ifthe world comes to an end, the enlightened people will never feel bothered, because they knowthis world comes and then it will go oneday. But the life eternalalways goes on, and that nothing can affectit.

Life eternal is what we are. Wisdom is whatwe possess. Loveis what our nature is. And that cannot bedestroyed with any bombat all. It cannot be limited by space andtime.

Therefore, the masters initiate discipleswithout thelimitation of the space and time. The masterdoesn't have toalways be where the disciples are, but canhelp the disciples andbless them. And the disciples will growinto mastership, and alsocan do the same, yeah. So whatever I doyou can do also. That waswhat Jesus said to us.

The World Is The Shadow
Of The Kingdom Of God

But can we do it? Can we do what Jesusdid? No, not yet, because we did not learn what He learned. We have not tuned intothe Kingdom of God. We have forgotten ourFather who is perfect. Therefore we live in imperfection.

Now to correct this is very easy. Yes,if we want to gonorthward, then we have to face north, andcontinue, begin andcontinue to walk or to go northward. Butif we want to go south, then, of course we have to turn back andface south and begin to gothere. It's very simple.

Therefore, everyday we face the world. Wewalk toward theworld, we think toward the world, we mergeourselves in the world. All our attention, energy, emotions, besttalents face the world. We don't face God. Now, it's very simple.Turn around. I willshow you how at the initiation and thereyou are. Very simple.

But you will ask me the question is that,If you face God,then you have to turn your back to the world? It is not so in theKingdom of God. Because actually if thereis no Kingdom of Godthen there is not this world. This worldis only a copy of thereal thing, of the real life. Therefore, you do not have toforsake the world in order to know the real. But you have to knowthat the world came from the real by realizingthe real.

Just like you get to know a beautiful ladyinstead of chasingafter her shadow. Then you have both. Ifyou want the shadow thatmuch, you can include, because the shadowcomes from thisbeautiful lady. It's no good always clingingto the shadow and notknowing the real. But soon as we know thereal, the shadow alsobelongs to us.

Since ancient times we have always heardmany stories abouthow fantastic a master is. Just like Jesus, yeah, Jesus, He isgreat, fantastic. He can do many things, and we admire Him. ButHe should not be the only one in this position, because it is saidin the Bible that Know you not that you arethe temple of God, andthe Holy Spirit dwells within you.

We house God. You understand that? We housethe almightywithin ourselves. And here we are havingnothing of this almightyglory. It is because we face the other way.We face the shadow,we chase after the shadow, and try to correctthe shadow to suitour taste-that the legs were too long, thehead is too flat, or theear is too pointed. It was because of thelight which projected the real and made it become the shadow. And if we chase that allthe time, and trying to make it different,of course we maketrouble for ourselves. We exhaust all ourenergy and we achievenothing. We might be able to adjust a littlebit here, a littlebit there, but this is only a shadow. Right?Tomorrow it willbecome ah, ear, the ear will be pointed again. Therefore in orderto truly enjoy we have to correct the real...we have to know thereal one and adjust accordingly.

If you know the beautiful girl, where shestands, then you caneven make the shadow become more beautifulif you wish. See, youcan make the light behind her go a littlebit above or under, andthen her shadow will become very much likethe real person; or dosome technique to adjust the shadow. Butif we do not know thereal and try to adjust the shadow from theshadow itself, then wealways have problems. That is the problemwith the world. That'swhy our world is always in trouble, becausewe try to correct theshadow and not the real object.

A Peaceful World Comes If Everybody Is Enlightened

And so many heros have come and gone.So many great kingshave reigned the world, but the world isstill the way it is. Ifyou have fixed some problems here, otherproblems will breedthemselves elsewhere. If you have enoughmedical care for thepeople, now you have incurable diseases likeAIDS for example, troublesome. And so we never come to anend without problems, ifwe always try to fix the world.

I have known one person, he is very muchinterested in ourteaching and wants initiation and that. But he told me that hewould like to stay in the world, to remainin the world as worldlypeople, in order to understand their problemsand in order to helpthem. Many of the heros of our history havethought the samething, and the world has not become a paradise.Even though wehave a lot of better equipment, more civilizedsociety, but thenwe have other more troublesome problems.

So you see, our brothers and sisters, whatthe conclusionshould be. It's not that after enlightenmentwe forsake ourpolitical career. Or leave the Presidentalone in white house andall the aids will go out, because they'reall enlightened. But westay there, and we do better job becausewe know how to adjust theshadow now. Or we don't bother at all toadjust the shadowanymore. Whatever the shadow may be, fine, because we know it'snot important. We may feel amazed at theshadow, of its changingshape and size and color, of different timeof the day. We mightwatch it with amazement, but we no longerchase after that, and weno longer put great importance upon thisshadow.

That's why everyone should be enlightened. And the world willbe at peace. No other thing needs to bedone. I don't know if youagree, yes or no? (Applause.) I tell youfrom example, not sheertalk. See, for example. Now you look atme, I'm wearing beautifulclothes. Actually we designed ourselves,I designed myself and Ihave seamstresses who are monks and nuns, together yeah. I mean weare those who live together and do not havefamily ties and that. So we work everything together without wantingany wages or anyposition anyhow. So, now it's very inexpensiveanyhow. But itlooks beautiful, right?! So now I am happybecause I am beautiful, fine.

But when I am alone and I have not to seeyou in such a greatevent and important greeting like this, then I just wear whateverit is, right - very old clothes but verycomfortable and old shoesflat. And I don't even care to wash themvery carefully because Iwould just pitch my tent next to the riverand put my clothes inthe bucket and some soap in it, river waterand I use my feet tostamp on them and while I clean my teethat the same time, yeah. I use my feet to just, you know, walkingon the bucket, walking onthe clothes after a while and then let itbe in the sun for awhile. And then after I clean my teeth orI bathe, and I swim, andthen I just shake them loose, yeah and getthe river water to cleanthem. Then I throw them on the rocks andafter some time they aredry. And that's a life of beautiful enjoymentthat I most cherish.

But nevertheless when I go out I stayin, sometimes, hotels, sometimes stay in a very beautiful mansionwhich some of thedisciple lend us for few days, and I alsoenjoy that. You see, Ialso enjoy the freshly cut lawn and the beautyof the flowers thatyou plant around in your gardens and everyso-called luxuriousthing that you have. I enjoy. Yes.

An Enlightened Person Conforms
To Circumstances Whatever They Might Be

Therefore enlightenment affords us theenjoyment, not thesituation. So I enjoy in both cases. Ido not deny luxury, and Ido not cling to asceticism, because bothhave its beauty. Whateverit is there, you accept it and that is thesimple life. Somepeople ask me, Simple life means going tothe forests and livingin caves and eating weeds, and all that?I say no no no. Simplelife means you stay where you are enjoy whateveryou have. If youare rich, you enjoy your rich life and sharewhatever leftover, toomuch, with other people. If you are poor, enjoy your simple lifeand be happy that you don't have to worryabout thieves. [Laughter] And that is simple living. Yousee, simple living, yeah - stay where you are, enjoy what youhave, that is in mythinking a simple living. Do you think that'salright? (Applause.)

Because if we try to change our life itmakes us not simple. Right? You are so used to with clean bathrooms and all that. Andnow you have to punish yourself and adjustyourself to kind ofoutside open toilet and it freezes in thewinter and maybe you arenot used to with the cold. You'd get coldand you'd get sick. Andthen is that simple? No, then you have tobe administered to in ahospital and get all the needles in yourtongue, in your knees andwherever necessary. (Master laughs.) Andthat looks verycomplicated indeed. At least from the outside. Therefore simpleliving means you are comfortable where youare.

But of course there are somethings we adjustto life. Forexample if we meditate a lot, then we cannotafford to eat meat toomuch because that excites our energy, stimulatesthe passion, andwe would like to sit still in order to knowour own treasure andwisdom. Therefore if we do not follow asimple diet then it willhave some side-effects. Therefore, somepeople meditate at randomand do not adhere to the vegetarian dietthey come into a kind ofdisturbance, you see? Many people have mentalderangements. It isbecause of violating the law of nature. The law of nature teachesus to be vegetarian.

You know all of this. And I think in thesample booklet thatyou were given it has already been provenscientifically that wehumans are vegetarian species. Because ourteeth and ourintestines... is that right? yeah? okay- are made for vegetarianbeings, yes. And the meat-eaters beingsare different in the bodyconstruction and the inner organs and thedigestive system are alldifferent. Anyhow I'll be long about enlightenmentand short aboutdiet, okay? Because in case you are allergicto vegetarian diet Iwon't mention anymore.

The Quan Yin Method Is The Ultimate Method

But be enlightened anyhow, by all meansand by whatever youcan afford in your environment and in yourmental state ofpreparation. There are many ways to enlightenment. But there isbest way, quickest way, or longest way, yeah, safer way or alittle bit risky way. Just like you climbthe mountain there aremany roads, but some roads are even and someroads are more rockyand some roads are dangerous.

So I have found that the Quan Yin Method, the method ofobserving the inner Word, the inner soundand the inner heavenlylight is the best, and is the ultimate becauseultimately we haveto arrive to the light of God and to theWord of God in order toget the wisdom. All other roads are leadingyou to that state -that you could hear the sound of God andcould see the light.

Or other methods are having this same goal, but we are righthere, - the teaching directly and you immediatelyexperience theenlightenment taste, you see immediately. So you get this lightand sound right away at the time of initiation.Whereby othermethods, you have to take a long time ormany years or many ascetickinds of sacrifice in order to arrive there.

Therefore, actually this is not a method. It's just a fruitand the meal is already prepared for youhungry guests. Theothers, maybe they are not hungry so theytry to mess around withtheir food or cook all the time and noteat it. Many of ourpeople who stay permanently in many of ourcenters around theworld, their life is very simple, but theyare very happy. Ourlife is so simple that when compared to themost simple life stylesin other countries, theirs seems pale!

The other day we were speaking with someof the people whowork with the government in Au Lac. Theyare not the governmentalofficials, they are just working in a businesswiseand so we hada chance to talk about this. And then, Isaid, Actually the AuLac people in Au Lac if they were enlightenedthey wouldn't feel sotroubled about communism even.

I say because, actually I am a true communist.Becausewhatever I earn I share it all with people.Communist means youhave everything not for yourself, but forthe community, you see. You live in a community. Therefore, actuallyI don't talkcommunism, but the communists should giveme the best medal for it,yeah, because I live what they preach. (Laughter.)

I live in tent. I live simple life. Idon't earn money formyself. All the money runs around the worldfor the sake of mydisciples, for the enlightenment of others, and for the poor andneedy. And even my clothes I design formyself so it's cheaper.[Applause.]

Changing Ourselves Is Changing The World

Therefore, it's not what we should havein life but to whatdegree we are contented with life. To tellyou honestly I have nobetter life than any of the people who livein the communistsystem. For example, from thirty-six orforty hours up till now Ihave only had one meal and that wasn't much. There was only maybehalf a bowl or one bowl of rice, just a fewtofu and a fewvegetables. That's all there was. And Iam working so, very...you can not say it's not hard. It's hardwork because we run fromone place after another and we are alwayspacking and unpacking andtalking to hundreds of, thousands of peopleall the time. Iseldom rest with my voice, very seldom.

I'll tell you my schedule. For exampleyesterday, the nightbefore, I was in Seattle, yeah, talking tothousands and after thattalking to the disciples and non-disciples,etc. And then, I didnot go to bed until about five o'clock inthe morning. And beforethat, I meditated for a while and then slepta little bit. And gotup again at nine or something, got readyto go for the airplane.

And then, at the airport I had to speak tohundreds of peopleand make them happy, right. And then, wentto the air...(Laughter.) What, you're laughing at? It'snot true? It's true, yes. Because, if not, then they are nothappy. And then, in theairplane, I have to talk again to the neighborsbecause they willask me where I come from and what I do andall that. Fine, I enjoyalso. And then I had a little rest, maybeten minutes.

And then, again, came down to the airport. And hundreds ofpeople were already there awaiting for meto talk again. Okay, Italked, until nine or something, huh? Andthen we went home. Andthen I had a little rest. And then camethe telephone, and Italked again for about one or two hours, one hour at least. Andthen came out, and then all my disciples, their immediate friends, the Americans, they wanted to be exclusivelytreated. So onlyAmericans were around, and I talked onlyin American language. Ah,that was about, yeah, just for a while, yeah?

And then, I came and took that meal thatI told you. Yes, andthat was it. Up till... I had nothing fromthat meal until now. And before that I didn't have meal. Beforethat meal I nibbled twomouthfuls of bread and two mouthfuls of milk. That was before Ileft Seattle. And I came to last night andhad that meal. Theonly meal up till now. So, therefore, Ihad in forty hours or fifty hours, actually only one meal. Nothingmore.

And if the communists are proud of theirteaching, they shouldbe more proud of the action, and they shouldgive me a best medal. (Laughter & applause.) Actually I amtoo proud of myself. It's myego at work, you see. (Master laughs.) Don't worry, I'll put itaside later. (Laughter.)

So, the problem is not to change anythingof this world but tochange ourselves you see. I would have complainedbefore. Withoutenlightenment I would have complained. I would have loved to havemy beautiful house, my lovely husband andmy, whatever is mine. You understand? And I can't just sacrificelike that. But by theway doing this, I do not even feel sacrifice. You understand whatI mean? Just very natural, very happy todo it.

Of course I am tired and I complain sometimes.Because ofsome of the unnecessary tiresome questionsor demands from peopleand disciples. And sometimes it agonizesyou. You understand whatI mean? Having to accompany kindergartenchildren while you areteaching in college, yes. It is very difficultalso, but I getthrough, I get through. That's a reasonablecomplaint, no? Is itnot? (Laughter & applause.)

Enjoy The World Within And Without

Thus, if the people in any poor countryor in whateversituation if they get enlightenment, theywould not feel suffering. Some of our disciples are relieved from eventhe most dangeroussicknesses after initiation or after theypractice for a while. Yes, it depends on also their sincerity andkarma. And some ofthem have to undergo sometimes this retribution, but they go withsmiles on their faces.

Yesterday while I was in Seattle, evenone of the women toldme she had to undergo operation, but thenshe had prepared herselfalready to go to play in heaven while thebody was undergoingoperation. She told me: Ah, fine. I knowalready. I will go andlet the doctor inject me and then meanwhileI will go to Buddha'sland and have a look around. (Laughter.)Yes, that's what shedid. And she had no fear of whatsoever.

Yeah, yesterday some of you had heard it.Any of you fromSeattle yesterday? Yes, you heard this, yeah. That was an Au Laclady.

She is about my age, maybe younger. Butdon't make me feelvery old. (Master laughs.) Yes, that'swhat they do.

And sometimes some of our fellow practitioners, their livesare not rich like you perhaps in Formosa. They drive taxi. Okay, they are taxi driver but while driving thetaxi they can seeBuddha's land or heaven, Kingdom of God atthe same time.

Therefore their lives pass very quickly. And whatever theydo, they do it in joy. They enjoy the reallife and the shadow ofthe real life, because both will blend together-thereis noseparation, no rejection of any kind.

The Beauty Of Enlightenment

When I was in Indonesia or some othercountry, some peoplesaid, Oh, you look beautiful. Would youconsider to re-marry? Yeah. What do you think? Do I have timefor that? (Master andeveryone laugh.) Yes, but I said to him,Why do you ask thisquestion? He said, because he thinks thatenlightened peoplewould not care so much about these thingsand no love and very dryand all that. I said, No, if you consideryou should proposefirst. Yeah, you propose and I will putyou on the marry list. (Laughter.)

But then, that's the last I heard of him.(Laughter &applause.) Probably after a close examinationof my face andfigure and whatever, and my life style andhe thought he hadbetter not take adventure. (Master and everyonelaugh.) So, mydisciples everywhere are enough to scarethe biggest hero on earth. (Master laughs.) They would run away youknow.

When you are at home, and you have only onehusband and wifeand if the third person comes, you alreadyfeel very scared, right, very frightened that your love would be shared. How much more ifthey see my disciples! They hang aroundtwenty four hours, theyeat everything with me, and they interferewith all kinds ofprivacy, except when I am in the bathroom.(Laughter.) My door isnever be able to lock. Always coming upand down and my room isjust like a restaurant. So whoever dareto be my husband shouldprepare for war. (Master and everyone laugh.)

So, that's the life it is. You see whetheryou have or youdon't have it's fine. It's very fine withyou because you arecontented within yourself. You do not rejectlife. But you do notsink into life deeply so that you know nothingelse except thematerial existence of life. And that's thebeauty of enlightenment. (Applause.)

Alright, I am ready for your questions, becausethere will bemore talk by the way. You can ask anything, yeah. And I am freeto answer or not, so don't worry.

It is a very good atmosphere today, huh!Right? Yes, for thefirst time and then you can laugh so much.I think we don't chargethe lecture with money but we charge thelaughter because this isvery rare. (Laughter.)

Question And Answer Session

Q: In the Bible Jesus Christ said: I and myfather are one . (M: Yeah.) But, how can I reach this state?
M: Get enlightenment, yeah. Get initiation. That's what we arehere for, to help you.Q: Dear Master, I have never eaten vegetarian. However, after Ilistened to your videos and read your magazines,I started to eatvegetarian once or twice a month (M: Wa, big deal, big deal!) CanI meditate? If yes, is there any danger?
M: Fine, it's already a big improvement, yeah. From thirty days totwenty-eight days.Q: Dear Master, how to live a happy life?
M: Didn't I tell you? (Master and everyonelaugh.) To getenlightenment is a sure way of a happy life.Okay, I am verypatient.

Is Abortion An Offense To The Precepts?

Q: Could you please explain your precepts againstkilling.Specifically against abortion.
M: Wa! You get me into trouble. Ah, Thoushalt not kill is theprecept of all religious scriptures, notonly Christians. It'seven in Jainism, Hinduism and other religionsalso. If they trulytake this thou shalt not kill in a truesense of the precept, abortion, of course, should be avoided. And the doctor should bevery precise in determining what is the specialsituation thatpeople should undertake this. Because maybesometimes it'sdangerous for the mother, yeah, or dangerousfor both. So, thedoctor should be fair in determining thatsituation. Otherwise Ithink we should save life in any way we can.Whatever specialcircumstance with you, that you have to answer, your selfconscience, and the doctor has to determine that. Okay?I am nothere to condemn anyone, because I know lifeis very hard, and verydifficult to say which is right and whichis wrong. Because we arealso all under the sway of karma, of thelaw of cause andretribution, and sometimes it is very difficultfor a person to goabove that, to be saintly, and to be decisiveabout anything inlife. But, bear in mind that if you havefaith in God, and in allour wisdom and if we are enlightened, nocircumstance is difficult,no situation is hard to handle. So, I justpropose enlightenment, and no condemnation for anything. (Applause.)Q: Is it okay to receive initiation from morethan one master?
M: Yeah, it's okay. But why is it necessary? For example, if yourmaster has already taught you the light andsound within you, andyou are satisfied and you're making progresswith that path, thenyou don't have to be initiated by anothermaster who will teach thesame method. But nevertheless, if you arenot completely satisfiedand you would like to have more, I mean youare more convinced insome other master, of course you may do so.

Respect The Talent And
Qualities Of Other People

Q: Jesus ate fish, why do you not?
M: You always put fish in Jesus' mouth. (Laughter.)Alright, suppose he ate fish, he is Christ, he cando many other things thatyou cannot do. Why you look at the pieceof fish only and not athis qualities and his holiness? As soonas you become holy as heis, and powerful as he is, you can eat humanbeings, okay?! (Laughter & applause.) If you are thatdesperate for meat... OhGod! We always compare the things that otherpeople do to suit ourtaste. But we do not respect their qualitiesand their talents, yeah. We have to know what we have and otherpeople have, hm, andthen we can say what we can do or not. Thepresident he can stayin the white house, he has a lot of bodyguards,he has power overthe whole nation. So, somethings he cando, we can not. Okay, right?!Q: Are pain and illness always the result ofpresent karma? If so,how do we clean them out?
M: We clean it out by enduring it. Alright?Because it's alreadytoo late now to reverse the wheel of karma. But we could minimizeit, we could lubricate it by being enlightened,by meditation onthe perfection of the Father every day throughthe guidance of ateacher, through initiation. Then, we minimizea lot of things. Yeah, um.Q: Do you feel this initiation is important? Why can it not be doneon our own?
M: The question answers itself, um. If youhave done it yourself, then it's not necessary to get an initiation. But if you couldn'tdo it, if you haven't seen the light of Godand the sound ofheaven, then, initiation is necessary. Besidesthere are manysteps to heaven that you must know, verbally, the instruction, andso many pitfalls that you should avoid. And if you do not knowthat, you'd waste a lot of time, and sometimesit's dangerous, um.Q: Who was your Himalaya master and what lineage?
M: I think I talked about that already in someof the tapes. You goand have a look, okay? Now I'm here andyou keep asking about mymaster all the time. I am jealous. (Laugher.)I am so beautiful, and you don't care about me. (Master andeveryone laugh.) Youcare about an old man with wrinkled eyesand cranky mood anddoesn't talk to any one, doesn't accept disciples.(Laughter.)Q: Master, specifically what is the differencebetween enlightenmentand the power to initiate, and which onedoes the patriarch of theBible have?
M: The power to initiate came first. You willhave the power ofinitiation also if you are pointed by themaster, because a masterwill initiate through you. And also youhave the power, the truepower, the perfect power, not the borrowedone, when you become amaster. When you reach the fifth plane ofconsciousness, then youbecome Christ or Buddha, yeah. At that timeyou can initiate. Butenlightenment is a part of it, part of thepower. And you willexpand this, and get to know more of yourgreatness, more and moreuntil you realize your complete self. Andthat is the time you'llknow God. That's the time you'll be ableto initiate people.

In The State Of Samadhi

Q: Dear Master, is it right that we have tobe at or beyond thesecond level of spiritual practice to havea samadhi experience?
M: No, no. It's not true. It's just that deeperor shallowersamadhi. If you see the light or hear thesound, that means you'realready in samadhi. It's just a little bitnot very deep. Andsometimes you're in very deep samadhi, andyou sit there and onlyaware of the inside, and sometimes awareof both, inside andoutside.Q: If initiated, can one practice meditationan hour in themorning, half hour in the middle of the dayand an hour at night? Does one have to meditate two and a halfhours continuously a day?
M: No, no. You can separate it. You can doit on the bus, in thepark, on airplane and the train, etc. tomake up for the hours thatyou need.Q: Please explain the reason for not eatingor using eggs, and howdo eggs represent life and death?
M: Because egg is a symbol of life and death. In it contains life, yeah. And many of the black magicians orwhite magicians they useeggs to withdraw some of the negative possessivespirit within somepeople, yeah. Therefore, if we eat eggstoo much we tend toattract this negative force toward ourselves.Yeah, that's one ofthe reasons why we should not eat eggs, hm.Q: Do you have homosexual disciples?
M: Yes. Do I have to report to you their privatebusiness?

You see, homosexuality is just a misconceptionabout theirawareness. They misunderstand their body'sfunction. And whenthey become enlightened, this will be lessand less, because theywill identify themselves less with the body, but more with thespirit. Therefore there's nothing wrongwith that.

Yeah, when the children are very young, theyplay with plasticmodels and they cling to their teddy bears, but when they grow up,they will leave them. So do not worry aboutyour misidentificationwith your body or with your birth appearance. It's alright, justget enlightenment, and everything will fixitself in due course.Q: Master, I often see that in meditation itis my mind watching mymind, I lose faith that I can't go beyondthis technique. Anyadvice? Thank you!
M: Oh, of course, it's not the very suitabletechnique for youperhaps. Because if we use the mind to watchthe mind, we arestill inside the mind and inside the creation'sdestroying andnourishing process. We should go beyondthe mind. Therefore inour meditation, we don't use the mind atall. Yeah, and that isthe most advanced technique. So, maybe tryours, Okay?! Um.Q: What happened to your husband?
M: Oh, thanks for your concern. We've lostcontact for, I think, several years now. Well he waited for mesix years, alright? Andthen, he remarried after six years. Andduring the time we wroteoff and on, half a year a letter, or oneyear a letter. And aftersix years, he got married again, with a vegetariandoctor wife. And then he got a son and he reported thatto me. That was thelast I heard of him. If you are interestedto know, maybe I'll gointo the second level and have a look athis future. (Master andeveryone laugh.)Q: Master, how important is it to see the lighteighteen inches infront of me. I only see it close to my forehead.Thank you.
M: It's fine, It's a good beginning. Don't worry.It will growfurther.

Why Budhi Dharma Sat Facing
The Wall For Nine Years

Q: I don't know if it's my business to understand, but I would liketo find out about Buddha's message when hecame from India and satfacing the wall for nine years.
M: Oh! The patriarch, the Budhi Dharma? Facingthe wall for nineyears? Because He had nothing else to do.(Laughter.) If itweren't for you, I would probably sit andface the ceiling fornineteen years. (Laughter.)

You see. If they have things to do, theywould do themwhole-heartedly. If they have nothing todo, they just do whatthey want to do. Yeah, that's it. Andif He loved the wall somuch, why not? (Laughter & applause.)

You see actually, of course I make a jokeabout it. But yousee, to elaborate it further, you shouldunderstand that anenlightened person is very contented withinhim or herself, anddoes not desire to do anything when it'snot necessary.

For example, if I don't come to you or ifI don't lecture orif nobody requires me to come out to seethem or talk to them, I amalways in my room. Yeah. Of course sometimesI like to take awalk in the garden or in the forest wheneverit's there. If not,I stay in my room. I do nothing, I am justhappy. Yeah, I mayread books, or not read books. I might meditate,or not meditate. I may sleep, or I may feel awake. I mayeat something or not eatsomething. I'm fine within the walls. Yousee!

That's the problem with the prisoners. Becausethey are notenlightened, therefore they feel walls separatethem. If they wereenlightened they would sit pretty well inthere and they'd neverprobably want to leave prison at all. Yes,it is because we arevery contented within ourselves. You see.

That's why the patriarch, He sat there andfelt good. At thattime, probably there was no lecture hallfor Him, and not manypeople understood Him. So, He just sat thereand enjoyed Himself. He could have done other things, but it wasn'tnecessary at thattime.

There was a story about a Zen master andhis disciple. I amafraid to lose your time. Is it okay totell? (Audience: Yes.) Okay. One Zen disciple, yeah, very enlightenedperhaps, came tosee his master after some time, and thenhis master asked him, Ah,well, well, what did you do all these months?Yeah, you had asummer vacation, now what did you do? Hesaid, Oh, in mybackyard, there is a big piece of land. I cultivated it andplanted some vegetables, and they tastedso good, they looked good. Yeah, and I feel very good about it. So,the master praised himand said, Oh, well, well, you did not wasteyour time, huh! Youknow how to use your time, it's very good, yes.

And so the disciple asked the master: Thenwhat did you doduring this time that I was not here? Whatdid you do? And themaster said, Oh, in the daytime I ate andread books, in thenighttime I slept, hm. So, the disciplealso nodded his head andsaid, Oh, well, well, master, you also knowhow to use your time, you didn't waste your time, you are veryuseful!

You understand? Yes, it's very comfortable, huh! It takes anenlightened mind to understand an enlightenedmind. So, that'swhat it is, with the enlightened people. If they have work to do,they do it. If they don't they don't missanything.

So, whenever we are on tour, we are sometimesin a kind ofvery famous place. You know? Like whenwe were in Mexico, we werenext to the pyramid, yeah and of course peoplewould like to gothere. It was about one hour from our placeactually, and my roomwas in the middle of the city, with allthe noises and all thenarrowness, everything. But still I didn'tlong to go to thepyramid. So, we never did go.

Even though I stayed there six days, andlectured only oneday. But I saw people every day of course. But I had no longingto go to see pyramid, or anything else. I stayed always every day, every minute of the day in my room.

And so, I told you again and again, enlightenmentis the onlyway for the cure of everything in this world.Otherwise, if anyoneelse, you put them in the room like that, yeah, and don't let themgo to see pyramid, something, they will beunhappy. But we arenot. I and my disciples, the immediate crew, you know, nobodywanted to go to the pyramid. I asked them,If you want to go, youare free to go. Don't have to wait for meor ask my permission. But nobody wanted to go. They are just happyto serve.

They sleep when they have time. And whenthey wake up, theygo and prepare for the lecture-equipmentand all that. No onelongs to go sightseeing, nothing. It's becausewe are verycontented within ourselves.

Therefore, the first patriarch, Bodhi Dharma, the Budhist whocame to China and faced the wall nine years,it was the samesituation, um.

Why Ego Exists?

Q: During meditation do we need to keep ourselvesawake so that weknow that we are meditating? If I fall intoa state of not fully being awake or I fall asleep, is there anygood in my meditation atall?
M: Yes, it's a good sleep. (Laughter.)Q: I have been on a vegetarian diet for threemonths, but I can'tcross my legs because there is a problemwith my legs. So, am Iqualified for initiation? And can you commenton posture inmeditating?
M: Then don't cross your leg for God's sake.Do what you want withyour legs. I don't want your legs. I justwant yourenlightenment, okay.Q: After initiation and if Master is not withus, if I have anyproblems with my meditation, what shouldI do?
M: The Master is always with you, hm. Masteris not the body. Weare wisdom. We are connected with the wholeuniverse. And themaster who is worth his name is omnipresent. So, whenever you arein trouble, the Master knows. And the Masteris always helping youto progress. Whether you see the Masteror not, it depends onyour power of samadhi. Otherwise, Masteris twenty-four hoursawake and taking care of you. So don't worry, okay?Q: Master, You are very beautiful and havemuch to offer. I amglad to be here. My question has to do withthe ego. What are weto do with it, if anything, and why doesit exist?
M: I see. The ego doesn't exist actually. The ego comes from theinformation that we collect during our time, and during ourinter-relationships with others or with allthings around us, yes.

For example, when you were born, youhad no ego. But when yougrow up and then you know yourself to bebeautiful or handsome, yes, then, the ego begins to grow yeah. And everybody praises you. Wa! you're beautiful! And then, You havea Ph.D.! You growmore in pride, and that is the ego, yeah.

But, don't worry about it. It's just a goodaccessorysometimes. And you can throw it away anytimeyou don't need. But,you have to have enlightenment first in orderto know when to wearit, and when to put it down. Okay?

Initiation Is The Only Way
To Reach The Fifth World

Q: What kind of light and sound can I hear whenI reach the fifthlevel? I mean what symbol will let me knowif I come to the fifthlevel of meditation?
M: That I tell you at the time of initiation.Because I cannotjust tell you like that at random. I don'tknow what kind ofmeditation you do. If you want to elaboratefurther, maybe it'sbetter, um. The fifth level is meant forthe initiated peopleonly, not for other disciples. They couldn'teven reach the first.Q: Dear Master, I'm married, but I sometimeshave dreams of beingwith other beautiful girls. How do I preventthese dreams? Am Icreating heavy karma? Please tell me.
M: It's alright! Just enjoy your dreams okay?!(Laughter.) Justdon't do it in the reality. Otherwise, yourwife will not let youenjoy it. And keep it a secret. What canwe do with dreams?Right? Forgive yourself. It's okay!Q: When does the soul enter the body? Is itbefore our birth orafter our birth? How can it happen if weare born as a twin?
M: No, because you like to stick together,I guess, huh! You haveaffinity with each other, um. And you wantto go out at the sametime to have companion. No problem abouttwins, yeah. We aretwins ourselves. We have both feminine andmasculine aspectsinside. And we, if we reunite that, we'rehappy, um. Forget aboutthe physical aspect.

Experience Is Better Than Empty Talk

Q: Dear Master, please let us know more aboutenergy, therelationship between energy, peace and love. The only thing weknow from science is that energy can notbe destroyed or created. Energy can be transformed from one kind toanother kind. Some sayGod is energy, God is love. What do youthink?
M: I think these are only sayings. Before youexperience that, allsayings are empty. I do not like to be aliving dictionary but anexample of the true knowledge. When youare enlightened, youunderstand this energy and all the metaphysicalquestions.

Energy is many kinds, negative and positive. When we areenlightened, we balance both and make useof them for the purposesin life and in the right time, the rightsituation.

I told you already. If we are enlightened, the world will beat peace. No need to change anything. Ofcourse, that is peacefulenergy that we radiate after enlightenment.Q: How to affect our beloved, such as husbandor wife, to be a moremoral person. Is there a special methodto help them?
M: Yes, enlightenment. Enlightenment helpsyou to be sharper in allfeelings, yeah. And you'll be a better wife,be better husbandeven. Many of our initiates claim that theirmarried life becamemuch better after both of them practicedGod's presence, yeah, thelight and sound. Before that they just hada kind of very lukewarmrelationship, or cold to ice cube. And afterenlightenment theyknow how to care for each other and thenfeel more toward eachother, um.Q: Dear Master, I had a lot of nightmares inchildhood. Now thenightmares are gone, but, I still dream frequentlyevery night. Please tell me are these dreams involvedwith my karma?
M: Maybe you had a very rough life before,um. You lived in trulynightmarish life . Therefore, the influencestill lingers up tillnow. Well I sounds like advertising manager, but enlightenment isalso for everything. If you want to livea fearless life, anddreamless life, then, of course enlightenmentis the answer.Q: Master, were Hermes, Zoroaster, the Essences, the Gnosticsmasters? And who were the first masters? And who is the greatwhite brotherhood?
M: All masters, all true masters are one. Theycome from onesource. And the highest master is the suprememaster, the almightywhich is in all of you. When we first camehere we were mastersbefore. And we came here, we blessed theworld. And, we forgotall about our power and our glory. And ourenergies were alsoexhausted, because we paid attention toouter phenomenas. So, allthe masters who came here are the ones whoare awakened in thisawareness and know their true glory, andthey can travel the roadhome frequently. And they can lead us backhome. So, no need todiscriminate between any master. All thereligions are founded after the master has gone. Therefore wehave Christian afterChrist, Buddhist after Buddha, etc., okay?!Q: Enlightenment always seems so lofty. Inwhat ways will I bedifferent after enlightenment ? How willI know? Is it in blackand white?
M: Oh, you'll know it, you'll know it definitely. You'll know it,just like you walk inside the door and whenyou walk outside thedoor. It's very definite and very beneficialto your daily life. You will know it, very definitely. Justlike an educated personand an uneducated person, there is a greatdifference.Q: Is it true that to become fully realizedone must practice the highest yoga-tantra and the secret mantra? And if Buddha performedthese before full realization?
M: I didn't see anything like that in the scriptures.I only sawthat He sat under the Bodhi tree for fortydays or more. And Hesaw the stars at the time of realization. So, if you want to havethis same realization as Buddha, you canhave it, right now, um.

And about tantra and tantrum, I do not know.I did not seeanything in the Buddhist scripture referringto the Buddha'spractice before He was enlightened. I onlyknow that He saw thestars and He saw the light. So, if you wantthat kind, we have it. Okay?!Q: There is a vow to refrain from intoxicants. What about chemicalson fruits and vegetables?
M: Oh, my God! You are fanatic. Wash themwith the salty water, yeah, and eat them. Otherwise, you die, hmm? (Laughter &applause.)Q: Since I started the vegetarian diet, myson who's seven yearsold asks, Is it another no-meat day? Irealize my son was bornwith the great nature of not eating meat. But due to myill-concept I started his meat eating habit. How can I restorehis greatness and reduce my guilt?

M: Um, then take time. You have taken muchtime and efforts toforce your son into meat, and now you haveto take the same amountof effort and time to reverse.

How Dictators Emerge?

Q: Dear Maser, please explain what kind of karmait is when therewere dictators like Hitler, Lenin, Ho ChiMinh, who caused the warsthat killed millions of people, and mademillions of others suffer.
M: That is a collective karma of mankind which,as I told you, areby-products of the inter-relationships betweenhumans and otherbeings in this world or other worlds. Andthose kinds ofby-products became a kind of very forcefulstrong energy hangingaround our earth's atmosphere. And whenit is too condensed, thenit has to manifest into some kind of visible, such as a very greatdictator who kills millions, etc.

As you have asked, so therefore, these peopleare not to beblamed also, in a sense. But, ourselvesare to be blamed. If eachone of us leads a life of virtues, keepsthe commandments, andrefrain from killing of any kind - includingthe indirect killing,so keeping the vegetarian diet - and theworld would never havebred these kinds of dictators in the firstplace.

These are there to remind us of the virtuousway, and if weare not awakened yet, then these things willcontinue to remind usuntil the whole mankind is awakened.

How To Eradicate Anger?

Q: What is anger? Why does it boil inside us?And how do werelease this anger?
M: Sometimes it helps to release it outwardly.Sometimes betweenhusband and wife or men or parents and childrenthere exists somekind of tension. And after you have clearedit together, you clearthe air, it's also helpful.

Whatever comes naturally, just let it be.If you cannotcontrol it or you cannot control it completely, just try not tobear hatred in it. Just express what youfeel, express it in asbest manner as you can okay?! Because sometimesanger, whenswallowed too much of the time will breeddisease within the body.

So the best is that, first we have thevirtues of God, andthen other passions like anger, greed, attachment, will subside byand by.Q: You say only human beings can become a Buddha.I want to know ifwhen a disciple passes away and he is onthe 4th level, does heneed to come back to this world to be a humanbeing and after thatto study until he becomes a Buddha?
M: Oh, no, he doesn't have to. He studies fromthere. The Masterwill continue to teach the disciple and neverleave the discipleuntil the disciple completely realize himself,hm! (Applause.)Q: You said You denounce immorality. What ismeant by sexualmisconduct? Is that wrong?
M: I do not denounce anything. I just propagatecorrect way oflife. And you are free to follow it, okay?!I do not denounceanything. If you feel that is a denouncement,it's not true. Justthat you go into the wrong direction. Nowyou should go back tothe right one, if you want to arrive at yourdestination which isthe Kingdom of God.

Too much sexual abuse and indulgence tiresyour body, exhaustsyour mental power which should be conservedfor the greatestenlightenment, and to help yourself and tohelp mankind. It's morenoble that way. That's all, yeah.
Sexual misconduct means you have toomany girl friends, toomany boy friends, too many husbands and wives. It exhausts yourstorehouse of energy, okay?!Q: How do You suggest that a person go aboutattainingenlightenment when that person lives in extremeand almost constantpain.
M: There are many drugs that help you with painthese days. You donot have to endure that. Medicine, you cantake in order toprevent the pain. And then when you arecalm and peaceful, thenyou can meditate.Q: Please let us know if God, the comforterthat God sent, thespirit of truth, is only one comforter ora few comforters? Ifthere are a few, please let us know how many?
M: You want to shop, uh, shopping for enlightenment!(Laughter.) One is enough for you, right now, okay?!(Applause.) Because evenif there are a few, who knows if they willcome to you and when, and whether you are still alive when theother comforters come, understand? Okay?Q: Oh, Master, I have a hard time meditatingbecause my head hurtswhen I start to meditate. Please tell mehow to stop theheadaches?
M: Maybe you try too much. You should not haveany effort, yeah. But I don't know what kind of method youstudy, so it's difficultto tell you. But whatever you do, relax, yeah. Just do it justlike you are mowing a lawn or eating thebreakfast. No need to putstrain on your brain for concentration. In our method we do itwithout effort. We just sit there and thelight comes. Therefore,it is better.Q: What does it mean when some people are absent-mindedwhen someonetalks to them, and they just don't react,or they instantly forgetwhat you've just said. Is it because they'retoo mental or theyuse their mind too much?
M: How do I know? You ask them?!Q: Dear Master, when You die where does yoursoul go and whathappens to your energy and karma?
M: Me or anyone? (Q: It says when You die.) I'll tell you afterIdie, okay?! (Laughter & applause.) It's too early. I mean I amstill very young.

Heavy Karma Incurred In Meat Eating

Q: If after being initiated and I still makea mistake like eatingmeat or having an evil thought, does it meanthat I'll bedisconnected from God or suffer some badpunishment?
M: Evil thought, you might not be able to controlit immediatelyafter enlightenment, because it's just likethe car brake, you see. When the car runs sixty miles an hour, andif you want to brake it,do it slowly, yeah. So, it'll probably takesome time to be ableto purify completely yourself.

But the meat you can avoid it, yeah, exceptwhen you don'tknow it and you eat it by mistake, then that'sfine. But you haveto meditate more on that day to clean that, because that is a veryheavy karma. That's what makes people ill, what makes our bodysuffer, and what makes us go to hell afterwardto repay for thesuffering of other beings. (Applause.)Q: Dear Master, I sincerely thank You for thelecture today. I wishthat You take care of Your health, so thatYou can continue to givelectures for the rest of the world, and savepeople who have thesincerity to find the way back to God's home.Thank You again. Please take care of Yourself.
M: Thank you, thank you. God takes care ofme. You take care ofme. Because you have love for me, you havegood thoughts for me, you have loving wishes for me, thereforeyou take care of me.

I can't take care of myself. I just flowwith the water. Wherever there is demand, I just have tofulfill it. I have notime or actually no very fixed schedule tosay that I can take careof myself. Never mind, I am okay. I workhard and I am alright.Q: This question is about discipline. I findthat I am very devotedto trying new techniques for a period oftime. When I do not seeresults or when I get too busy or too tired,I just give up, Idon't stay with the discipline. How canI push through my weaknessand continue with daily routine and mastery?
M: Ah, of course if you have a method and itdoesn't work verywell, and also maybe you do not follow thepractice regularly anddiligently and sincerely, then, you loseyour faith, yeah. So, tryto do what is instructed, and then your faithwill grow more withthe results. Of course if you don't haveresults, you don't havefaith, and the less faith you have, the lessresults.
