Supreme Master Ching Hai
International Association Participates In
The "Clean Up Australia Day"

On Sunday March 2nd, 1997 over 150 members of Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association in Sydney participated in the "Clean Up Australia Day" that was sponsored by the Federal Government, who called upon every citizen to come out and help.

This was an important day because it was launched by the Federal Government with the participation of many high ranking officials such as the ministers and state governors. They appealed to all citizens to keep the environment clean and to make Australia a beautiful country.

It is known that over the last few years the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association has participated in these public clean up events in areas like Pyrmont, Ultimo and part of the Royal National Park, and has been greatly commended by the local government. An official greeted the group of initiates participating in the clean up work with words of enthusiasm: "Welcome the new citizens of Australia." Another official commented, "Although I have not met your Master yet, through your spirit and actions, we know this is a good organization."

Also on the same day, over seven thousand people attended the Women's Festival in Domain Public Park where the group of initiates was assigned to work. The festival staff reserved for the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association one of 90 booths to display its arts and crafts, spiritual and cultural items because they realized that Supreme Master Ching Hai is a world renown, Au Lac lady who was honorably presented the World Spiritual Leadership Award by the six governors of the Midwestern States in the U.S.A. in 1993. A big crowd of people came to get free copies of sample booklets and News magazines in order to learn more about the Quan Yin Method. Many inquired about Supreme Master Ching Hai and the schedule of video presentations and public lectures.
