To Supreme Master Ching Hai,

On unexpectedly receiving five hundred US dollars from Mr. Khoi, I would like to express my joy and gratitude to Master. I am already in my seventies and physically weak. I do not know what I can do to show my happiness and excitement. Let me wish You a life of happiness in your stay abroad.

With reverence to Master Ching Hai

In an endless relay of love so infinite
For Ching Hai's early return I await.
The world has changed and I am wearied,
But Ching Hai have I yet to meet.

Remarks: Poet Bui Giang, who lived on the streets, was one of the Au Lac artists to receive Supreme Master Ching Hai's gifts this Lunar New Year. This letter took months to reach us in a roundabout way. The gifts came from contributions from Supreme Master Ching Hai and the proceeds from the performance "An Evening of Music and Poetry". The intent was to express our admiration and gratitude for artists still living in Au Lac and to recognize their contribution to art and culture.
