By
extending God's love to others, we create heaven for them and
for ourselves.Having
followed Supreme Master Ching Hai for many years, we recognize that
world peace is achieved through the generous and unconditional sharing
of love and concern among all of humanity.
We, fellow initiates,
yearn for peace in the world and harmony among people, but our habits
and egos often detract from our success in putting this ideal into practice.
However, participation in emergency relief services and repeated visits
to needy families offer us lessons for continuously improving ourselves.
A group of Formosan
disciples recently made follow-up visits to the poor and orphaned. These
people greeted the initiates with such happiness that it lit up their
faces, recounting their situation in a most innocent and cheerful mood,
and even forgetting their illnesses and pain. Initiates sharing this
warm and joyful atmosphere deeply felt that "as long as there is love
and concern for all, the world is a universal brotherhood."
"Take
care of your own elders as well as other elderly people"- Formosan
fellow initiates visit a retirement home.
