Dear Madam Ching Hai:

On behalf of the staff and volunteers of AmeriCares, please accept my sincere gratitude for Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association's contribution to our medical relief efforts in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Your recent donation of $100,000 will be used to provide essential drugs and medical supplies to women, children and elderly in that famine-ravaged country.

Our and other assessments of the health sector in the DPRK relate that the next 15 months will be very difficult. Predictions that tens of thousands of people will perish from a lack of basic food and medicine appear to be accurate. We are hopeful that AmeriCares and Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association's commitment will in some way help to alleviate these life-threatening conditions.

Madam Ching Hai, thank you again for your support and great generosity. Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association's work on behalf of the impoverished and disenfranchised around the world continues as an example to all of us who share a commitment to the lessening of human suffering.
