authorities recently seized 100,000 bottles of wine, which had been
"purified" with dried slaughterhouse blood. They also seized
one ton of dried blood. The reason for the seizure was the risk of consumers
contracting "mad cow disease" from the wine. Of course as
practitioners, we don't drink wine, but at least I had always thought
of wine as vegetarian. As I read that piece, I thanked Master twice,
for getting both meat and wine out of my diet!
